We write in detail in which control unit a certain coding can be found.
This is written behind the coding as "...codable in...".
Possible control units are e.g. CAS, KOMBI, FRM, etc (so they always have abbreviations).
To keep in mind 💡:
Coding is based on the pre-installed functions of your control units.
If a codable feature is not available in the app, but coding is basically possible for your car, then either your ECU does not support this codable feature, or our app cannot do this coding.
The lite version of the app shows you which encodings are possible for your car in the full version.
Â
BMW:
You can check what codings are possible for your BMW and MINI here.Â
Â
VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda:
VAG vehicles coding is challenging since we cannot determine based on available data which control units exactly are installed in your vehicle. Therefore, we do not know exactly which functionality is offered. This is due to the modular principle of the VAG Group (e.g. MQB platform) in-vehicle electronics. For example, a VW Golf VI is not like any other VW Golf VI - completely different control units could be installed.
For this reason, we do not offer a list of VAG codes. You can check with the lite version of the app which encodings are possible for your exact vehicle.Â
Mercedes:
Unfortunately, Mercedes doesn't have any codable functions which we could activate with our app. In Mercedes vehicles, these options are missing from the control units from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, this is the case for all Mercedes vehicles.
Therefore, we do not offer any encodings and cannot develop them in the future.
Â
Other brands:
Currently, other brands are too new in our list of supported cars, so that we can not offer any coding functions yet. In the future, we will, of course, develop new coding functions, if there is the possibility to activate or deactivate such functions for a vehicle brand.
At the moment, we are checking which brands are in great demand among users. We will then include the most important, most useful, and most requested functions into the app, if technically possible.
Â
To keep in mind 💡:
- If you can access the ECU but the encoding is not listed there, it means that the software of your ECU does not support this encoding.
- If the required control unit for coding is greyed out or missing completely, then your control unit software is not supported yet. Unfortunately, we can't say when exactly it will be implemented, but as soon as it is, we will announce it!
