1. What should I do if I am getting a coding error?
If you see an error in the app saying ‘'Unfortunately coding has failed. We have repaired a customized guide for you please check it out'’, then please follow these steps:
-
Please make sure that you have established a connection with the Carly scanner. Then, check the lights on the Carly scanner. The blue light should flash 1x per second, and the red light should illuminate continuously. If this is not the case, please contact our support via this contact form.
-
If the connection with the Carly scanner is ok and the connection with the vehicle is established, but the error still exists, it could be that your vehicle can only be coded under certain specific conditions. Therefore, please try the coding again under the following conditions:
-
Start the engine
-
Open the bonnet
-
Close the windows
-
Close the driver's door, open the locking of the doors on the whole car (not only the driver's door, etc.)
-
Leave the radio on
-
Do not operate any controls of your vehicle (buttons, keys, touchpads ext.) during the entire connection
-
Plugin your Carly scanner and connect. Then try the coding again in this state of the vehicle. It should work now.
-
3. If that also did not work, please go into the settings of the Carly app and set the “Communication speed” to “slow”. Then, Delete all the fault codes and let the engine run while you are trying to code.
4. If still there is no effect, please contact our customer support via this contact form.
